Tea Field Cottages : Bancha
Uniquely set amongst one of Jersey’s few tea plantations, this recently renovated, luxury two bedroom granite cottage dates back to 1731. Situated in the heart of rural St Lawrence in the centre of the island, the property faces South South East and has stunning views across the countryside. The cottage has its own patio and barbecue, perfect for outside dining whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery.
The property sits within one of the Jersey Fine Tea plantation sites. The fields were planted almost three years ago and are home to the developing tea plants used to produce a range of speciality teas, unique to Jersey. This working plantation provides an exclusive position where the fields are actively managed and picked throughout the growing season. Where else can you enjoy a cup of fine tea, amongst the tea plants themselves!
The location of the property is perfect for those wanting to relax and enjoy their surroundings and the cottage itself has been finished to a very high standard. The owners live in the adjoining house with their three young children so welcome families and can provide high chairs and travel cots if required.
The area is fantastic for walking and cycling and sits behind both the National Trust ‘Toad Walk’ and Hamptonne Country Life Museum. The pub, village shop and church are a 10 minute walk away. The central location of this property makes it an ideal base for exploring the Island.
Children of all ages most welcome. Complementary welcome package.
This property does not allow pets.
Please note Matcha Cottage adjoins this property and would be ideal for families and friends booking both Cottages together.
